Two-car Oceanside crash seriously injures at least one

SAN DIEGO, CA – At least one person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 in Oceanside on Tuesday afternoon.

According to CHP, a white van crashed with a red pickup truck in the northbound lanes near Birmingham Drive at about 3:15 p.m. The pickup truck overturned and landed on its side in the left lane.

Good Samaritans stopped and the scene and began working to extricate a person trapped inside the overturned pickup. The victim was transported to Palomar Medical Center with serious injuries. It is unclear whether anyone else was injured.

The accident scene was blocked for about 45 minutes and reopened once tow trucks removed the vehicles.

Lane blocked by SR-78 accident in Oceanside

SAN DIEGO, CA – One lane was blocked by a traffic collision on State Route 78 in Oceanside on Monday afternoon, according to Caltrans San Diego.

The accident happened in the westbound lanes just past Jefferson Street a few minutes after 5 p.m.

One right lane was blocked by the accident until about 6 p.m.

There is no word on whether anyone was injured in the accident.

Minor injuries reported in car crash on SR-76 in Oceanside

SAN DIEGO, CA – Minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle traffic collision on State Route 76 in Oceanside on Tuesday afternoon.

According to CHP, a brown Ford Explorer crashed with a white extended-cab Ford Ranger crashed in the 16200 block of SR-76 at about 5:05 p.m.

All parties escaped serious injuries, however, at least one person did report minor injuries.

Authorities spent about an hour investigating at the scene before a tow truck arrived to remove the damaged vehicles.

SAN DIEGO, CA – Lanes were blocked on Interstate 5 southbound in Oceanside after a traffic collision early on Thursday morning.

According to Caltrans San Diego, the accident happened near the Aliso Creek Rest Area just after midnight.

The left two lanes were closed for at least half an hour while authorities cleared the scene.

It is unclear whether anyone was injured in the crash.

SAN DIEGO, CA – An exit ramp from Interstate 5 was closed after a crash in Oceanside late on Tuesday night, according to Caltrans San Diego.

The accident happened on the offramp to Cassidy Street from southbound I-5 shortly before midnight.

The area was closed for almost an hour.

Freeway lane blocked after two-vehicle crash in Oceanside

SAN DIEGO, CA – One freeway lane was blocked after a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 in Oceanside on Monday afternoon.

According to CHP, a black Volkswagen sedan collided with a black Cadillac sedan in the southbound I-5 lanes just north of the Las Flores Viewpoint at about 1:20 p.m.

The crash was blocking the fast lane.

Both the drivers were able to exit their vehicles and walk around, however, it has not been confirmed whether or other they were injured.

The cause of the accident is unclear.

SAN DIEGO, CA – A traffic collision on Interstate 5 was reportedly blocking two travel lanes in the Oceanside area on Sunday afternoon.

According to Caltrans San Diego, the accident happened on I-5 south at Oceanside Boulevard shortly before 4:30 p.m.

The right two lanes were blocked off. They reopened at about 5 p.m.

No further details are currently available about the accident, including whether anyone was injured.

Power pole downed by early morning Oceanside accident

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to the California Highway Patrol, a power pole was taken down in a car accident at an Oceanside intersection on Thursday morning.

A car crashed into a power pole near the intersection of Rainbow Valley Boulevard and Huffstatler Street just before 6 a.m.

An ambulance responded to assess the driver for injuries, which have not been confirmed.

The power pole was downed by the accident. The authorities called the power company out to repair the damage. Meanwhile, both lanes were blocked on Rainbow Valley in the area for at least 45 minutes.

Multi-vehicle crash reported near I-5 Oceanside checkpoint

SAN DIEGO, CA – Traffic was backed up after a multi-vehicle traffic collision on Interstate 5 in Oceanside on Tuesday morning, according to Caltrans San Diego.

The accident was blocking one right lane near the California Highway Patrol checkpoint on southbound I-5 at about 8:15 a.m.

An update more than two hours later from Caltrans stated that an additional lane was blocked and that military vehicles were involved in the crash.

Traffic backups continued for hours.
