Rush hour motorcycle crash injures one in Murrieta
SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcycle rider suffered injuries after losing control of their bike on Interstate 215 in Murrieta on Wednesday afternoon.
According to CHP, the rider was northbound on I-215 when they lost control near Los Alamos Road at about 5:15 p.m. The rider was ejected from the bike and landed in one of the middle lanes.
Passersby immediately began to stop and help the victim. One person moved the bike from the lanes but the rider was left in the roadway until the fire department could arrive and assess the injuries.
The victim was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Rush hour traffic began to back up as far as I-15 but was quickly cleared once the two blocked lanes reopened at about 6 p.m.
