SAN DIEGO, CA – One person was involved in a motorcycle accident on State Route 97 in El Cajon on Monday afternoon, according to CHP.

A motorcycle crashed in the area near Palomar Divide Truck Trail at about 12:30 p.m. The motorcycle was blocking the road while the man was lying on the side of the road.

An ambulance was called to the scene and emergency workers were performing CPR on the victim.

Motorcycle and construction truck cause pileup in Temecula

SAN DIEGO, CA – Several vehicles were involved in a pileup accident starting with a motorcycle and a construction truck in Temecula on Thursday afternoon.

According to CHP, a motorcycle and a construction truck collided in the 23300 block of residential Mapes Avenue at about 4:50 p.m. The vehicles were both in the roadway and within a couple of minutes, more vehicles had crashed into the original incident.

One of the vehicles was also leaking fuel into the street.

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene but an update on any injuries has not been released. We will update this story should more information become available.

Victim hospitalized after motorcycle crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – One person was taken to the hospital after a motorcycle collision on Interstate 805 early Monday morning, according to CHP.

A black Kawasaki Ninja 650R bike crashed with a vehicle on the ramp to the northbound lanes near Bonita Road at about 3:52. When the emergency crews arrived, they began searching the area for the victim but were unable to find them.

Upon investigation, authorities discovered that the victim had been transported from the crash scene in a private vehicle and taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital. The victim was given a bed in the trauma ward. An update on their condition has not been made available.

Motorcyclist left sprawling by hit-and-run driver on I-15

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcycle rider was injured when a vehicle struck the bike then fled the scene on Interstate 15 in Temecula on Tuesday, according to CHP.

A good Samaritan called 911 to report the crash that had ejected the rider from his bike on northbound lanes near Railroad Canyon Road at about 5:15 a.m. A black four-door sedan, possibly Nissan or a Subaru, had struck the motorcycle. The impact threw the rider into the center divide, where he was lying when witnesses began to pull over and offer help.

One witness said that a similar vehicle was seen exiting at Central Avenue and investigators were checking the area in an effort to apprehend the hit-and-run driver.

An ambulance responded to the scene to offer treatment to the injured motorcyclist. Their condition is unknown.

U-Haul drives flees Vista scene after injuring motorcyclist

SAN DIEGO, CA – The driver of a U-Haul injured a motorcyclist in a small chain-reaction crash then fled the Vista scene on Sunday night, according to the Times of San Diego.

A U-Haul van was turning into traffic from a gas station on North Melrose Drive at about 5 p.m. The van struck the motorcycle, which then hit another vehicle. The U-Haul driver immediately fled the scene.

The motorcyclist was wearing protective equipment at the time of the crash and sustained only minor injuries.

Several witnesses remained at the crash site and were able to report the events to law enforcement.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to pass what they know onto the authorities.

At least one person injured in I-15 motorcycle crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – At least one person was injured in a motorcycle versus vehicle accident on Interstate 15 on Thursday morning, according to CHP.

The motorcycle and vehicle crashed on Interstate 15 north near Murrieta Hot Springs Road at about 6:15 a.m.

One of the drivers, a female, broke her leg in the crash and was laying in the center divide when emergency crews arrived. It was unclear whether she was the driver of the motorcycle or the other involved vehicle.

Speeding motorcyclist crashed on Coronado Bridge

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcyclist crashed after speeding into another vehicle near the Coronado Bridge on Tuesday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.

A motorcyclist was going too fast on Interstate 5 southbound in the area south of the bridge and driving between lanes. The bike had continued onto the bridge when it rear-ended another vehicle at about 5:40 a.m. The accident apparently caused enough damage to the bike that the motorcycle was leaking oil on the road from the crash.

Motorcyclist ejected from bike on State Route 163

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcyclist was ejected from their bike on State Route 163 early Friday morning after crashing with another vehicle.

According to CHP, the motorcycle and a silver Honda Civic collided in the southbound lanes just south of the split from Interstate 15 at about 5:20 a.m.

The motorcyclist was thrown from their bike and was lying in the roadway when police arrived. An ambulance was on its way to the scene, but the condition of the involved parties has not been updated for the public.

Motorcyclist thrown from bike after collision on I-5

SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcyclist was thrown from his bike after colliding with a vehicle on Interstate 5 on Thursday afternoon, according to CHP.

The rider was ejected from his bike after a collision with a pickup truck in the southbound lanes near State Route 163 at about 3:45 p.m. Vehicles began to stop around the accident which left the victim sprawled on the pavement in a righthand lane along with their motorcycle.

Motorcyclist killed by flying debris on I-15 Monday

SAN DIEGO, CA – A driver left the scene of an accident in Escondido took the life of a motorcyclist on Interstate 15 on Monday afternoon.

According to NBC San Diego, the 3 p.m. accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-15 near Del Lago Boulevard. A 69-year-old man was driving his BMW motorcycle when two other vehicles drove over debris in other lane that struck and killed him. A Chevrolet Cobalt drove over the object first, following by a white sedan as it was changing lanes.

The biker lost control of his motorcycle after the piece of debris flew threw the air and knocked him unconscious. He veered from his lane into the Cobalt and was thrown from his bike.

Bystanders offered first aid until EMS workers were able to arrive. The victim was pronounced dead sometime later after being transported to Palomar Medical Center. His name is being withheld until the family can be notified.

The white sedan left the scene after a brief stop, exited the freeway, and police are currently searching for the driver.

The Cobalt’s driver was injured in the crash.
