On Saturday, June 8, 2019, a California died in a car crash on Snelling Road in Merced County. The firefighter was identified as Stacy Hamilton. He worked out of Tuolumne County, CA. Hamilton was reportedly driving alone in a 2004 Subaru Outback vehicle when the car left the roadway and overturned once on Snelling Road, close to La Paloma Road. The crash site was located between Merced and Snelling communities. The crash reportedly occurred a few minutes before 2:20 am. Hamilton was reportedly wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He died on the spot at the accident site. Neither drugs nor alcohol was reportedly to had been believed as factors which could have caused the crash.
