A woman suspected of stealing a vehicle was arrested after a high-end chase with the police that ended in a crash in North County early Thursday, May 30, 2019. California Highway Patrol officers saw what they believed was a stolen vehicle on Interstate-5 near the La Costa Avenue exit. The CHP officers tried to pull the driver of the said vehicle over. The female driver did not stop. Afterwards, the driver led the officers on a chase going southbound to Encinitas. The chase ended in Leucadia Boulevard when the female driver hit the vehicle on a curb. The female driver was handcuffed. She was transported away in a CHP patrol car. The charges that the woman was facing were not specified. Meanwhile, the male passenger of the suspected vehicle was taken by an ambulance to the hospital. The injuries that the man sustained were not specified, either.
