Escondido – Highway Crash With Entrapment

A highway crash was reported to authorities in Escondido Wednesday morning.

At around 8:30 p.m., a Mercedes sedan and a tanker-truck collided at the junction of Route 78 and I-15 North, resulting in moderate damage and injuries. According to initial reports, firefighters had to extricate at least three motorists before they were treated by medical personnel. The crash resulted in significant delays that have since cleared up. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the crash and are still collecting evidence. Escondido – Interstate Crash With Multiple Injuries

Authorities are investigating the involvement of DUI in an interstate crash in Escondido early Tuesday morning.

A few minutes past midnight, a Lexus SUV with two occupants was traveling north on I-15 when it suddenly veered off the highway. The truck then climbed up an embankment before rolling back down the interstate where it was struck by a passing truck. Both occupants were thrown out of the SUV. The first victim, a 20-year-old female from San Diego, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Palomar Medical Center for treatment. The second occupant, a 24-year-old man from Florida, died at the scene after he was struck by a passing Chevrolet Cruze. Authorities are currently investigating the crash and looking at the possibility DUI may have been involved. Updates will be provided as more info is released.

Mojave Desert Rear-End Car Collision on I-15 Injures Two

39-year-old driver Houston Ma and 41-year-old Keona Y. Lau suffered severe injuries in a car collision that occurred on December 2, 2011, around 5:05 p.m. along Interstate 15 (I-15) near Baker, along northbound lanes near Zzyzx Road.

According to California Highway Patrol officers, the 2011 Chevy SUV that the two victims were in slammed into a 2000 Kenworth truck driven by 44-year-old Darrin B. Simkins. Ma and Lau suffered serious injuries and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the truck driver escaped unhurt in this wreck. Read the rest »

Murrieta I-15 Car Wreck Kills Pedestrian

An unidentified pedestrian was killed in a fatal car wreck that occurred on November 25, 2011 around 3:22 a.m. just south of Railroad Canyon Road on Interstate 15 (I-15) near Murrieta. According to California Highway Patrol dispatcher, a northbound vehicle struck the pedestrian, leaving him fatally injured.

The motorist escaped unhurt in this car wreck. The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was I-15 SD County Pedestrian Accidentpronounced dead at the accident scene. From the available information, it is appears that reckless and ignorant driving of the car driver led to this tragic wreck. Fatal National City Rollover Accident at SB I-15 Kill Navy Man

A 27-year-old Navy man was killed in a four-vehicle crash that occurred on November 3‚ 2011‚ around 6:30 a.m. on southbound state Route 15 (SR-15) at Ocean View Boulevard. According to California Highway Patrol‚ a Jeep Cherokee lost control as it approached several other stopped vehicles preparing to enter Interstate 5 (I-5).

The Jeep hit a Honda Civic‚ an SUV‚ and then the rear end of a Cadillac DeVille with enough force to push the Cadillac into a Toyota Corolla. The Jeep finally flipped on top of the Cadillac before coming to rest. Read the rest »

Drunk Driver Arrested After Corona High-Speed Freeway Chase

Three men and two kids suffered serious injuries in a DUI accident that occurred on October 8‚ 2011‚ around 5:32 a.m. on Interstate 15 (I-15)‚ 90 minutes south of Hidden Valley Parkway.  According to Officer Sylvia Vargas‚ 38-year-old Adam Anthony Doyle was driving a black 2012 Chevy Silverado pickup truck at more than 100 mph when it broadsided a car occupied by 45-year-old Eric Lynch and 41-year-old Scott Fendley of Wildomar.&

Doyle‚ along with two boys of ages 4 and 7 in his vehicle‚ had to be cut from the pick-up and treated for major injuries. Doyle was later arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. From the available information‚ it is clear that Doyle’s negligent driving and irresponsible actions led to this serious car wreck. One Person Hospitalized Crash Near Riverside-SD County Line

One person suffered major injuries in a solo Rainbow car accident that occurred on June 19‚ 2011‚ around 1:10 p.m. on Interstate 15 (I-15) just south of Murrieta Hot Springs Road. According to the responding California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officers‚ the impact of the collision was so strong that the driver of the white four-door Honda was ejected out of the car.
