Authorities searching for Chula Vista hit-and-run driver

SAN DIEGO, CA – Local authorities are searching for a hit-and-run driver who injured a bicyclist on Wednesday evening in Chula Vista.

According to Fox News San Diego, the driver of a Honda CR-V hit a bicyclist in the 100 block of East J Street near Hilltop Middle School at about 7:15 p.m.

The bicyclist sustained injuries to his back and arm.

The driver immediately fled the scene without stopping and was last seen heading east. The white Honda looked to be from the years 2017-2020. It was missing the passenger-side mirror from the accident.

Anyone was information is asked to pass what they know onto the police.

Hit-and-run in Temecula injuries at least one

SAN DIEGO, CA – A hit-and-run accident left at least one person injured in Temecula in an incident early Monday morning, according to CHP.

The accident happened at about 2:09 a.m. on Interstate 215 near Redlands Avenue. The initial accident happened when a tractor-trailer struck a grey sedan. An unknown vehicle then struck the grey sedan again.

The tractor-trailer stayed on the scene but the second vehicle fled after the accident.

The grey sedan was blocking the righthand lane.

At least one person was injured in the accident but details about the injuries have not been released.

Pregnant woman injured in hit-and-run on I-5

SAN DIEGO, CA – A pregnant woman’s car was struck in a hit-and-run accident on southbound Interstate 5 on Friday afternoon.

The collision was reported to CHP at about 3:21 p.m., and occurred in the southbound lanes near H Street. The accident left a white Toyota Camry in the center divide.

An ambulance had been called to the scene to treat the victim, a woman about 5 months pregnant. However, injuries have not been confirmed.

Police look for hit-and-run suspect near I-5

SAN DIEGO, CA – A hit-and-run was reported on Tuesday afternoon in San Deigo on Palamar Street, according to the local incident tracker.

The incident happened a few minutes before 11 a.m. near Interstate 5 on Palamar Street. The suspect was driving a gold Ford 150. The suspect left the vehicle at the Argo gas station in the area and walked away across the bridge to I-5.

The victim’s vehicle was pulled over to the right-hand side of the road. There were no injuries.

Officials were searching the area for the suspect following the accident.

Hit-and-run injuries one in City Heights area

SAN DIEGO, CA – Police are searching for a suspect after a pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run in the City Heights neighborhood on Tuesday.

According to a local news report, the accident happened at about 3 a.m. when a pedestrian was making his way across the roadway at the intersection of 48th Street with University Drive.

The driver left the pedestrian in the street as he fled the scene.

The victim suffered serious injuries in the accident.

Police are searching for the suspect. A description of the vehicle or the driver has not been released as of yet.

Skateboarder injured in hit-and-run in National City

NATIONAL CITY, CA -A young man was struck by a vehicle while skateboarding on Palm Avenue at 12:30 a.m., reports 10 News.

The driver fled the scene, leaving the injured skateboarder in the roadway. Witnesses were able to get a good description of the driver and car. An ambulance was called to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital with a head injury.

The suspect was described as a woman driving a black Mitsubishi Galant with extensive damage. Officers are investigating the accident and the sequence of events leading up to it.

Hit-and-run in Mira Mesa kills woman

SAN DIEGO, CA – A woman was hit and killed by a driver around 9:45 a.m. Friday, reports Fox 5 San Diego.

At the corner of Black Mountain Road and Capricorn Way, a woman was struck by a vehicle. An ambulance was called but the victim had died from her wounds at the scene.

Reports state that the woman was in the crosswalk at the time of the crash. Officers are investigating whether the suspect was driving precariously before hitting the woman.

Descriptions of the driver and car were not available at the time. Officers are investigating the hit-and-run and circumstances surrounding the victim and the possible location of the driver.

abc 10 News later reported the driver was a 31-year-old male in a 2004 Nissan Titan. The suspect turned from Black Mountain onto Capricorn when he struck the woman. It is still under investigation why he did not stop to help the woman.

Pedestrian killed in early morning hit-and-run

SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run early Friday morning, reports NBC 7 San Diego.

The pedestrian, who was in his 40’s, was on a walk on Cholla Parkway around 1:00 a.m. when he was struck by a car driving at a high rate of speed. The pedestrian was carried a short way before he was thrown to the road.

Officers were called to the scene of the accident and found the victim had died of his injuries. The initial investigation discovered the suspect was driving a car with a loud muffler and was traveling at a high rate of speed before he struck the pedestrian.

The suspect paused for a moment before speeding away down 54th Street. Officers are investigating the circumstances which led to the hit-and-run. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be provided as it becomes available.

Hit-and-run leads to physical altercation

EL CAJON, CA – A hit-and-run led to a physical altercation between parties, reported California Highway Patrol.

A man called the police department around 6:39 p.m. and informed them he had been rear-ended by an unknown vehicle. This occurred on the southbound Interstate 67. The man had gotten out of his vehicle to get the other person’s information and was accosted by a woman in her 50’s. The woman punched him in the throat.

Before the man could make any move or speak, the woman drove off in her car. The man was not injured and his car received minor damage. The reporting party was able to make it home an waited for officers to be dispatched so he could make a more detailed description of the event.

It is unknown what provoked the woman to lash out violently. Officers are investigating the collision and more information will be provided when it becomes available.

Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run

EL CAJON, CA – A pedestrian was found injured on the side of Jamacha Boulevard around 8:45 p.m. Thursday evening, reports California Highway Patrol. 

A good Samaritan saw the man on the ground on the side of the road and called the authorities. An ambulance took the pedestrian to the nearest hospital to be evaluated.

Officers concluded that the man was hit by a vehicle. Investigations are ongoing and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
