Hazard caused by wheel causes chain reaction
SAN DIEGO, CA – A red Camero impacted a piece of debris in the middle of the road, reports California Highway Patrol.
The red Camero was driving on the 805 when it hit an object. The driver pulled over to the right-hand side. A truck impacted the object and debris in the road from the red Camero and pulled over further down the road.
A tow truck was called to the area to remove the disabled vehicles. Another driver had impacted a piece of debris and their vehicle broke down near Carmel Valley on the right side.
Authorities stopped traffic to remove all of the hazards for the rest of the drivers. Officers discovered four cars had been impacted by the hazard. All vehicles had to be towed from the area.
Officers are investigating whether the object that caused the vehicles to crash was from another vehicle or was put there deliberately.
