Marine Killed in Pauma Valley Motorcycle Crash
A 32-year-old active-duty Marine from Escondido was killed in a solo-vehicle crash that occurred on January 8, 2012, around 2 p.m. on State Route 76 (SR-76) on a rural road near Palomar Mountain. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Jim Bettencourt, the biker was riding a 2007 Ducati motorcycle east of Red Gate Road.
