At least one dead after PT Cruiser rolls off highway, into park
EL CAJON, CA – One person died after a vehicle rolled off a highway in El Cajon and into a county park in El Cajon last night, according to the Times of San Diego.
The accident occurred at 14787 Olde Highway 80, near Flinn Springs County Park, just after 7:45 p.m., when a Chrysler PT Cruiser traveled off the side of the roadway.
The vehicle plunged down an embankment, and into the park, which was closed. This forced emergency crews to wait so that the gates could be unlocked.
At least one person died of injuries sustained during the crash.

Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicles in El Cajon
EL CAJON, CA – A person died Sunday morning after being hit by multiple vehicles on the Kumeyaay Highway in El Cajon, according to NBC San Diego.
The incident happened at about 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 8, also known as the Kumeyaay Highway, near Mollison Avenue, after a pedestrian was hit by at least two vehicles, possibly a sedan with damage to the side of the vehicle.
It is unclear from the report if the vehicles stopped after the accident or if they fled the scene.
The identity of the victim and the circumstances of the accident were not made available.
No other injuries were reported in the accident.

Man dead, driver injured in El Cajon speeding-related accident

EL CAJON, CA – A man was killed in a speeding-related accident this morning in El Cajon that also injured the vehicle’s driver, according to the Times of San Diego.
The accident happened around 6:45 a.m. near the intersection of Chase Avenue and Wilson Avenue.
A driver was traveling at a high speed when they drove off the roadway and then crashed into a light pole near Wilson Avenue. A passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver was extricated from the car and then transported to the hospital.
There is no information at this time regarding the identity of the victims or the condition of the driver.
The accident remains under investigation.
