At least one person dead after El Cajon crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – Authorities responded to a single-vehicle accident in El Cajon Thursday night that took the life of at least one person, according to CHP.

The crash was on Buckman Springs Road near Oak Drive, and happened at about 8:45 p.m.

Police have not released information about the identity of the victim or victims who died in the crash.

Police collected evidence at the scene but further details are not yet available. We will update this story should more information become available.

Motorcyclist killed in accident in Alpine

SAN DIEGO, CA – A fatal accident took the life of a motorcyclist in Alpine on Monday afternoon, according to a local news report.

The crash took place on Lyons Valley Road near Japatul Road just after 1:30 p.m. The motorcyclist ran off the road and collided with a rock. His 2020 Harley-Davidson Fatboy then tumbled 50 feet down the hill. The rider was wearing a full-face helmet when he crashed.

The injuries sustained by the 52-year-old biker from San Diego proved to be fatal, and he died at the scene.

The crash investigation is still ongoing. At this time, police do not believe that drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

Authorities ID victim of fatal crash near airport

SAN DIEGO, CA – Local authorities have identified the victim of a fatal car accident that took place near the airport on Wednesday, according to Fox 5.

The crash that killed 30-year-old Brent James Sturgeon happened at about 10:30 a.m. on North Harbor Driver near the San Diego International Airport. Sturgeon had been driving west when he lost control of his vehicle. He struck the back of a pickup truck, then jumped the curb and hit a utility pole in the center median. His Subaru sedan came to rest in the eastbound traffic lane.

Good Samaritans on the scene attempted to perform CPR in order to save Sturgeon. Firefighters continued the work when they arrived but were unable to save the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

One dead after San Ysidro crash

SAN DIEGO, CA – At least one person is dead after an early morning car accident in San Ysidro on Friday, according to 10 News.

The fatal crash happened at about 5:15 a.m. when a red vehicle exited State Route 905 at Caliente Avenue. The driver struck a stop sign before colliding with a black SUV, which caromed into a nearby ditch.

The driver of the SUV was transported to a local hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

The driver of the red car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.

Driver dies after car hits tree, splits in two

SAN DIEGO, CA – A San Diego driver lost her life when her vehicle split into two after colliding with a tree on Wednesday morning, according to a local news report.

10 News reported the fatal crash in the Carmel Mountain Ranch area was called into police by a passerby by at about 1:15 a.m.

Gruesome photos from the scene show the sedan in two halves with debris strewn across the ground.

The identity of the woman has not been released. Further details, including the driver’s speed at the time of the crash, are unknown at this time.

No one else was injured in the accident.

One killed, three injured in Vista accident

VISTA, CA – According to Fox News, one person has died, and three people were injured in an accident in Vista on Thursday.

The accident was reported at about 10:55 p.m. near the intersection of West Vista Way and Cooper Avenue. A 51-year-old man driving a Chevrolet hatchback was involved in a head-on collision with an Infiniti sedan. The driver of the Infiniti, as 22-year-old woman, veered from her westbound lane and struck the hatchback as it was heading east.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.

The hatchback’s passenger and the Infiniti’s driver were transported to Palomar Medical Center with serious injuries.

A passenger in the Infiniti was taken to another hospital with minor injuries.

Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the collision.
