Escondido – Highway Crash With Entrapment

A highway crash was reported to authorities in Escondido Wednesday morning.

At around 8:30 p.m., a Mercedes sedan and a tanker-truck collided at the junction of Route 78 and I-15 North, resulting in moderate damage and injuries. According to initial reports, firefighters had to extricate at least three motorists before they were treated by medical personnel. The crash resulted in significant delays that have since cleared up. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the crash and are still collecting evidence. Escondido – Interstate Crash With Multiple Injuries

Authorities are investigating the involvement of DUI in an interstate crash in Escondido early Tuesday morning.

A few minutes past midnight, a Lexus SUV with two occupants was traveling north on I-15 when it suddenly veered off the highway. The truck then climbed up an embankment before rolling back down the interstate where it was struck by a passing truck. Both occupants were thrown out of the SUV. The first victim, a 20-year-old female from San Diego, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Palomar Medical Center for treatment. The second occupant, a 24-year-old man from Florida, died at the scene after he was struck by a passing Chevrolet Cruze. Authorities are currently investigating the crash and looking at the possibility DUI may have been involved. Updates will be provided as more info is released.

Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Escondido Truck Accident

A 50-year-old man was killed by a pickup truck on September 30‚ 2011‚ around 7:15 p.m. on Valley Parkway just west of Citrus Avenue. According to Escondido police Lt. Tom Albergo‚ the pedestrian was attempting to walk across Valley Parkway when he was struck by the eastbound pickup.

The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased pedestrian. Teenager Killed In Escondido Solo Car Accident

An unidentified 18-year-old woman was killed in a fatal Escondido solo car accident that occurred on April 12‚ 2011‚ on the Interstate 15 in Escondido in North San Diego County. According to the responding California Highway Patrol Officers‚ the victim was going at an estimated speed of 70-75 mph when her vehicle collided with the center divider near Felicita Road and struck the side of a concrete barrier due to unknown reasons.

The investigating officers are working to determine what made the victim drive her vehicle into the center divider. If it is found that she lost control or was not able to apply brakes due to a mechanical failure‚ then the manufacturer of her vehicle might be held liable for her wrongful death by selling a dangerous product. On the other hand if an poorly designed road or debris on the roadway is found to be cause of this auto accident‚ the authorities in charge of maintaining the road may be held responsible for her death. San Diego Motorcycle Accident Kills Biker | CA Injury Lawyer Attorney

An unidentified 39-year-old United States Marine was killed in a fatal San Diego County motorcycle accident that occurred on November 16‚ 2010‚ around 4:25 p.m. in Julian. According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office‚ the Marine at the time of the accident was riding westbound on Wynola Road. While attempting to cross two other motorcyclists‚ the Marine collided with an eastbound motorcycle.

Both the motorcyclists involved in this fatal head-on motorcycle accident were thrown from their bikes and into the roadway due to the impact of the traffic collision. Escondido Traffic Accident Kills Wheelchair Pedestrian | Injury Lawyer Attorney

Roger Emil Minx‚ 61‚ was struck and killed by a pickup truck around 7:45 p.m. while he was crossing a busy street in Escondido on September 10‚ 2010. Minx was trying to cross E. Valley Parkway near Fid Street in his motorized wheelchair when he was hit by the vehicle.

Minx was immediately transported to Palomar Medical Center where he was pronounced dead around 2:00 pm on September 11‚ 2010. San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that Minx died due to the blunt force trauma to the chest.
