At least one dead after PT Cruiser rolls off highway, into park
EL CAJON, CA – One person died after a vehicle rolled off a highway in El Cajon and into a county park in El Cajon last night, according to the Times of San Diego.
The accident occurred at 14787 Olde Highway 80, near Flinn Springs County Park, just after 7:45 p.m., when a Chrysler PT Cruiser traveled off the side of the roadway.
The vehicle plunged down an embankment, and into the park, which was closed. This forced emergency crews to wait so that the gates could be unlocked.
At least one person died of injuries sustained during the crash.

Pedestrian suffers broken arm after being hit by car in El Cajon
EL CAJON, CA – A woman suffered injuries after she was hit by a car at an intersection in El Cajon last night, according to Fox 5 San Diego.
The accident occurred near the intersection of East Madison and the 400 block of North 2nd Street at about 9 p.m. when a woman was walking across the roadway.
The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, was struck by a driver, and then suffered injuries including a broken leg. Her wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.
Authorities do not believe that the driver, who remained at the scene after the collision, was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
The collision forced multiple lanes of the roadway to close while authorities investigated.

Pedestrian’s foot severed after being hit by car in El Cajon
EL CAJON, CA – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries, including a severed foot, after he was hit by a driver in El Cajon yesterday evening, according to ABC 10 San Diego.
The accident happened near the intersection of Sunnyland Ave and Jamacha Rd at about 6:30 p.m. when a man was struck by a vehicle.
The victim’s foot was cut off in the collision and was unresponsive when emergency officials took him to the hospital for treatment.
The driver is not suspected of being under the influence at the time of the crash and reportedly remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.
