Pedestrian fatally struck by speeding driver in El Cajon residential area

EL CAJON, CA – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver speeding in a residential area in El Cajon late Friday night, according to the Times of San Diego.

The accident occurred in the 1000 block of S Anza Street just before 10 p.m., as a man in his 20s was crossing the street, headed to where he had parked his car. He was struck by the driver of a grey 2020 Infiniti sedan, who was reportedly speeding.

The impact threw the victim about 180 feet in the air and into a yard nearby. The sedan then collided with a white SUV parked nearby.

The victim, who was not immediately identified, died as a result.

Authorities do not believe that the driver, who remained at the scene, was under the influence at the time. The investigation, however, continues.

Pedestrian suffers broken arm after being hit by car in El Cajon

EL CAJON, CA – A woman suffered injuries after she was hit by a car at an intersection in El Cajon last night, according to Fox 5 San Diego.

The accident occurred near the intersection of East Madison and the 400 block of North 2nd Street at about 9 p.m. when a woman was walking across the roadway.

The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, was struck by a driver, and then suffered injuries including a broken leg. Her wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.

Authorities do not believe that the driver, who remained at the scene after the collision, was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The collision forced multiple lanes of the roadway to close while authorities investigated.

Pedestrian’s foot severed after being hit by car in El Cajon

EL CAJON, CA – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries, including a severed foot, after he was hit by a driver in El Cajon yesterday evening, according to ABC 10 San Diego.

The accident happened near the intersection of Sunnyland Ave and Jamacha Rd at about 6:30 p.m. when a man was struck by a vehicle.

The victim’s foot was cut off in the collision and was unresponsive when emergency officials took him to the hospital for treatment.

The driver is not suspected of being under the influence at the time of the crash and reportedly remained at the scene to cooperate with the investigation.

The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.

Woman killed in Saturday night hit-and-run in El Cajon

EL CAJON, CA – A woman died last night following a hit-and-run crash in El Cajon, according to Fox 5 San Diego.

The accident happened at about 9:30 p.m. at Sycuan Road and Dehesa Road when a woman was struck and left for dead by an unknown vehicle.

The victim died at the scene.

There are few details available regarding the collision, the suspected driver, or their vehicle at this time.

The identity of the victim has not been made public yet, due to a pending family notification.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
