One person killed when cable truck and sedan collide in El Cajon

EL CAJON, CA – One person died after a car and a cable truck collided in El Cajon yesterday afternoon, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The collision occurred on I-8, near Greenfield Drive, at about 4:30 p.m., when a sedan and a Cox Communications truck collided with each other.

One person who has yet to be publicly identified was killed as a result.

The truck driver was not reported as injured.

Authorities closed the off-ramp for several hours for the cleanup and investigation of the accident.

At least one dead after PT Cruiser rolls off highway, into park

EL CAJON, CA – One person died after a vehicle rolled off a highway in El Cajon and into a county park in El Cajon last night, according to the Times of San Diego.

The accident occurred at 14787 Olde Highway 80, near Flinn Springs County Park, just after 7:45 p.m., when a Chrysler PT Cruiser traveled off the side of the roadway.

The vehicle plunged down an embankment, and into the park, which was closed. This forced emergency crews to wait so that the gates could be unlocked.

At least one person died of injuries sustained during the crash.

Pedestrian suffers broken arm after being hit by car in El Cajon

EL CAJON, CA – A woman suffered injuries after she was hit by a car at an intersection in El Cajon last night, according to Fox 5 San Diego.

The accident occurred near the intersection of East Madison and the 400 block of North 2nd Street at about 9 p.m. when a woman was walking across the roadway.

The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, was struck by a driver, and then suffered injuries including a broken leg. Her wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.

Authorities do not believe that the driver, who remained at the scene after the collision, was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The collision forced multiple lanes of the roadway to close while authorities investigated.

One killed in early-morning crash between car and tow truck near El Cajon

EL CAJON, CA – A collision involving a tow truck and another car in the El Cajon area early this morning resulted in the death of one person, according to the Times of San Diego.

The accident happened near the intersection of I-8 and CA-125 at about 12:40 a.m.

One person, who was not publicly identified, was killed in the collision. At this time, it is unknown if they were an occupant of the tow truck or the other vehicle.

The crash caused traffic delays of about three hours, with the wreckage being cleared a little before 3:40 a.m.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

Three-vehicle collision reported in El Cajon

EL CAJON, CA – A traffic accident involving thee vehicles was blocking lanes on State Route 125 on Friday, according to the area incident tracker.

The accident involved a Mazda, a Honda, and a third vehicle. It happened in the southbound travel lanes at about 12:08 p.m. near the Spring Street off-ramp.

A tow truck was needed to remove the Honda from the scene.

It is unknown at this time whether any injuries resulted from the accident.

The travel lanes have been cleared for traffic.

Ambulance called to crash at I-8E and Mollison Ave

EL CAJON, CA – The California Highway Patrol requested an ambulance tonight following an accident at eastbound I-8, roughly halfway between Mollison Avenue and Highway 67.

Officers arrived at the scene at 6:51 p.m. and found a three-vehicle traffic collision involving a red Ford sedan, a blue Subaru WRX, and a white Toyota Camry. They requested an ambulance and tow trucks, though the extent and nature of any injuries remains unclear at this time.

Traffic collision in El Cajon

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to the traffic logs from the California Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle collision occurred this morning in El Cajon. Police were alerted to the accident at around 11:37 a.m. and arrived quickly on scene to the intersection of Sweetwater Road and Jamacha Boulevard. A black Nissan Rouge and a black Dodge Ram were both pulled over near the center median after colliding on the roadway.

At this time, the exact cause of the crash is unknown. Police have confirmed that no injuries were sustained in the incident.
