Single-vehicle accident in Fallbrook under investigation

SAN DIEGO, CA – Authorities were investigating a single-vehicle accident in Fallbrook early on Friday morning, according to CHP’s incident log.

Two people were inside the vehicle that was crashed into a tree on East Live Oak Park Road near White Fox Run at about 3:25 a.m.

An ambulance was called to the scene but it is unclear if either party was injured.

Authorities suspected that alcohol played a role in the cause of the accident and were investigating on Friday morning to see if the driver was drunk when the crash happened.

Vehicle crashes into Mount Hope home injuring two children

SAN DIEGO, CA – Three people were injured when a vehicle crashed into the back of a residence in the Mount Hope area on Wednesday night.

Local news reports that the driver was on an offramp from SR-94 when he went off the road at the intersection of the ramp with Federal Boulevard and Home Avenue at about 9:45 p.m. The white Mustang landed inside the home in the 3900 block of 39th Avenue.

Two children were asleep when the car crashed into their bedroom and trapped them. The were taken to an area children’s hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The driver was also taken to a local hospital. The severity of his injuries is unclear.

An investigation is ongoing and authorities are checking into whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

A building inspector was called out to assess the home and the residents have been at least temporarily displaced.

Driver found passed out in car after crash in Rainbow area

SAN DIEGO, CA – A driver was found passed out behind the wheel of their vehicle after crashing into the guardrail on Pala Temecula Road in Rainbow on Tuesday morning.

According to CHP, the vehicle struck the guardrail on Pala Temecula Road south of Arouba Road at about 1:50 a.m. A passerby called 911 when they saw the vehicle blocking the road with its hazards on.

When authorities arrived, they discovered the driver passed out behind the wheel.

Alcohol appeared to have been a factor in the crash.

It is unclear whether the driver needed medical treatment.

Driver suspected of DUI after crash in Oceanside

SAN DIEGO, CA – Alcohol was a suspected factor in an early morning rollover accident on Interstate 5 in Oceanside on Friday.

According to CHP, a truck driver was swerving all over the road before it crashed and overturned off the freeway near Coaster Station at about 1:05 a.m.

The driver, a man, was able to get out of the vehicle without assistance. However, when officials arrived, they discovered that the driver appeared to be under the influence.

His truck was towed from the scene while police investigated further.

The cause of the accident has not been confirmed.

Drunk driver causes multi-car crash that injures two

SAN DIEGO, CA – A drunk driver caused a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 805 that left at least one person with serious injuries on Thursday morning.

According to CHP, the driver of a maroon Honda Civic was driving recklessly south on I-805 when they crashed with two other vehicles near H Street at about 2 a.m. Debris went flying into all the freeway lanes, one of the vehicles was spun the wrong way in the crash, and the other two came to rest at the offramp.

When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that the driver of the Honda was under the influence.

At least two people were injured in the accident and the injuries were considered major. There has not yet been an update on their condition.

Four-car crash injures five people in Chula Vista

SAN DIEGO, CA – A head-on four-vehicle accident ended up with five people injured in the Otay Ranch area of Chula Vista on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Fox News San Diego, the driver of a black BMW SUV was speeding west on Palomar Street when they collided with three other cars near the corner of Santa Olivia Road at about 5:30 p.m. The black SUV first collided head-on with one and then hit two other vehicles.

Firefighters extricated two victims from their cars. These two were transported to a local hospital, along with another victim. The two other injured parties declined transportation.

An initial assessment believed that none of the victims’ injuries were life-threatening.

An investigation is ongoing and police are attempting to determine whether the driver of the SUV was under the influence when the crash happened.

Driver taken to jail for DUI after crash in Chula Vista

SAN DIEGO, CA – Alcohol was a factor in a single-vehicle accident reported in Chula Vista on Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle crashed in the 7400 block of Otay Lakes Road at about 4:45 p.m. and was left blocking at least one lane.

When firefighters and police arrived, they discovered that the driver had been drinking. He was transported to the country jail.

Impaired driver causes wrong-way crash in Rancho Santa Fe

Drunk driving crash injures two in Temecula

SAN DIEGO, CA – Two people were injured in a drunk driving accident in Temecula on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A silver Ford Explorer crashed with an SUV near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Evergreen Street at about 5:10 p.m. The SUV overturned off the road from the impact and a man was ejected from the vehicle.

The investigation determined that alcohol was a factor in the crash.

Two people were transported from the scene for treatment after the crash.
