Update: Boy was riding scooter when struck on Alpine street

SAN DIEGO, CA – A three-year-old child was riding a scooter without a helmet when he was struck by a car on a neighborhood street in Alpine on Friday.

According to the Times of San Diego, the three-year-old boy rode his scooter out of a private driveway on River Dance Count at 9 a.m. The small child crashed into the front passenger side of the 2010 Mazda 3.

The child suffered moderately severe trauma and was airlifted from the scene to a children’s hospital.

The 54-year-old El Cajon driver will most likely not face charges in connection with the accident.

San Diego Two-Car Crash Injures Child

A 4-year-old girl suffered a bruise on her head in a San Diego County two-car crash that took place on January 15, 2012, around 11 a.m. on Camino Del Rio North near Fashion Valley Mall. According to San Diego police Officer Jane Jacobsen, both the vehicles involved in this serious wreck sustained heavy front-end damage and airbags in both were deployed.

Talmadge DUI Car Crash Leaves 4 San Diegans Injured

Talmadge DUI AccidentA 4-year-old girl suffered serious injuries in a suspected DUI car wreck that occurred on August 27‚ 2011‚ around 7:15 a.m. along Fairmont Avenue in Talmadge. According to San Diego police Officer Frank Cali‚ the car driver struck a curb while merging onto Fairmont Avenue from Aldine Drive in Kensington. The SUV contained the driver‚ a 23-year-old passenger‚ and two children‚ ages 4 and 2.

The motorist overcorrected his Ford Explorer‚ causing it to roll several times. The impact of the collision was so strong that the 4-year-old girl‚ who was only restrained by a seatbelt‚ was thrown out of the car. Fiesta Island Boat Accident Leaves Young Girl Injured

Fiesta Island Boat AccidentSix-year-old Neve Walker was struck in a San Diego boat collision that occurred on August 6‚ 2011‚ around 3:30 p.m. near Fiesta Island. According to the girl’s father‚ the child was riding on an inner tube along with her 10-year-old brother when a motorboat came from behind and veered into their path.

Moreno Valley Head-on Car Crash Injures Drivers and Children

Three people suffered minor to major injuries in a two-vehicle head-on collision that occurred on August 5‚ 2011‚ around 10:45 a.m. at Kitching Street just south of Brodiaea Avenue in Moreno Valley. According to Moreno Valley police‚ a black Mercury Cougar lost control and collided with a Dodge Caravan carrying two women and three children.

The black Cougar was traveling south on Kitching Street when it moved into the No. 1 lane. The driver lost control and swerved into the No. 1 northbound lane. The Mercury collided head-on with the oncoming a Dodge. The mercury driver‚ who was alone in the car‚ suffered minor injuries and was immediately transported to Riverside Community Hospital for treatment. Vista Pedestrian Accident Seriously Injures 7-Year Old Girl

A 7-year-old girl was hurt in a serious car accident that occurred on July 1‚ 2011‚ around 9 p.m. at the Vista intersection of Waxwing Drive and North Avenue‚ near North Melrose Drive. According to Sheriff’s Deputy Kenneth Werner‚ the girl was struck by a white Ford Expedition driven by an 18-year-old woman.

The injured girl was immediately airlifted to Rady Children’s Hospital to receive medical treatment for the injuries suffered. From the available information‚ it is unclear what made the teen driver hit the young girl. Usually when vehicles are involved in pedestrian accidents‚ one suspects speeding or negligence to be a contributing factor. 10-Year-Old Struck and Pinned By Car in El Cajon

The SUV’s 35-year-old male driver‚ his 33-year-old wife and a 4-year-old child were seriously injured and transported to a hospital.

Police told reporters that the Volkswagen rolled over four times‚ injuring Walsh and his two female passengers in Walsh’s car. 18-year-old Sara Martin suffered a critical skull fracture. Police said that it is suspected that Walsh was driving under the influence of alcohol when this accident occurred. Rollover San Diego Car Accident Injures Children

Martin Mendoza‚ 38‚ from Dulzara‚ and four children suffered injuries when their Chrysler minivan crashed into a fire hydrant in Jamul in east San Diego County.  The impact of the collision was so strong that it ripped a hole in the fire hydrant and created a huge geyser along the road.

This car accident occurred in the 1400 block of Campo Road on September 22‚ 2010‚ around 3:00 p.m. Two of the injured victims were Mendoza’s children and the other two were his niece and nephew.  According to California Highway Patrol officer Brian Pennings‚ the injured children were transported to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego for treatment. Drunk Driver Drives Into La Jolla Restaurant | San Diego Injury Lawyer Attorney
