Downed tree and alleged DUI accident lead to road closures in San Marcos
SAN MARCOS, CA – The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported that a possible drunk-driving accident had led to road closures in San Marcos early this morning.

The accident happened near the intersection of N Twin Oaks Valley Road and San Marcos Boulevard, and was reported by authorities at 3:46 a.m.
A vehicle rolled over during the accident, which the SDCSO said involved a drunk driver.
A tree had fallen into the street, leading authorities to close the roadway during the cleanup efforts.
It is unknown if anyone was injured in the collision.

One person hospitalized after crash in Carlsbad
SAN DIEGO, CA – One person was taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash that happened on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad on Wednesday afternoon.
According to CHP, the involved vehicles were a red Chevrolet Equinox, a white Hyundai Elantra, and a Toyota RAV-4. They collided on I-5 south near Carlsbad Village Drive at about 3:30 p.m.
Parties from three of the vehicles reported minor injuries and one person was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The scene was cleared and the area reopened about 45 minutes after the crash.

One injured in truck versus car accident in Carlsbad
SAN DIEGO, CA – One person was injured in a truck-versus car-accident on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad on Monday morning, according to CHP.
The driver of an Albertson’s tractor-trailer called 911 after he was rear-ended on I-5 South at the Carlsbad Village Drive on-ramp. The collision left the blue BMW which hit the truck turned the wrong way on the on-ramp.
The driver of the BMW remained on the scene and was able to exit his vehicle.
One person reported minor injuries in the accident and it is unclear whether this was the truck driver or the BMW driver.

Two people injured in multi-vehicle collision north of Oceanside
OCEANSIDE, CA – A multi-vehicle collision north of Oceanside resulted in two people being taken to the hospital yesterday morning, according to the Times of San Diego.
The accident happened on I-5 at about 8:30 a.m. near the Aliso Creek Rest Area, located about 4.5 miles south of Agra, when three vehicles collided.
A man in his late 50s to early 60s was airlifted to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. A woman of about the same age was taken to the hospital by ground ambulance.
California Highway Patrol closed all northbound lanes of the interstate for the investigation and cleanup efforts, with all lanes being open by 9:50 a.m.
The accident remains under investigation.

One dead in collision on San Marcos Blvd
SAN MARCOS, CA – One person is dead following a car crash last night in San Marcos, according to a report by Fox 5 San Diego.
The accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of South Rancho Santa Fe Road and West San Marcos Boulevard when two cars collided.
It is unclear at this time what caused the collision or if there were any other injuries in the accident.
The incident is under investigation by the homicide department, according to the report.
