Traffic News: Car rear-ended semi-truck on SR-78
OCEANSIDE, CA – A grey Nissan sedan rear-ended a semi-truck on the SR-78, reports California Highway Patrol.
The car was traveling west on the SR-78 when for an unknown reason, the car slammed into the back of the semi-truck. The Nissan started leaking gasoline on the road and both vehicles are disabled and blocking traffic.
When officers arrived on the scene they found a passenger having issues in the front seat. An ambulance was called to the scene to transport the passenger to the hospital.
The right two lanes of SR-78 west has been closed to traffic while the scene is being cleaned up. Officers are investigating the events leading up to the crash.
