A 52-year-old El Cajon resident was killed in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred on November 16, 2011, around 5:45 a.m. on Interstate 8 (I-8) in the Alpine area. A 41-year-old Santee man was killed in an Alpine motorcycle accident that occurred on August 9‚ 2011‚ on around 9 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 8 (I-8) west of Tavern Road. According to the California Highway Patrol officers‚ the biker was riding a 2004 Harley Davidson eastbound and rear-ended 2001 international semi.
The 51-year-old truck driver Mario Solis told said he heard a noise from the back of the truck‚ pulled over‚ and saw the injured biker. The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
