Student Hospitalized in After-School Perris Car Wreck
An unidentified Rancho Verde High School student was struck in a serious car accident that occurred on October 12‚ 2011‚ around 3:15 p.m. on Evans Road north of the Ramona Expressway. According to the sheriff’s officials‚ the young girl ran across the street and was hit by a northbound vehicle.
The girl suffered serious injuries and was immediately transported to Riverside County Regional Medical Center for medical treatment. Based upon a reading of Section 21950‚ it is quite possible that both the driver and pedestrian may be responsible for this serious pedestrian accident. If the driver saw or could have seen the young girl across the street and avoided the accident by stopping or swerving‚ this car wreck could have been prevented. However‚ the girl may have run across suddenly‚ giving the driver little time to notice her.
The family of this young girl may be able to file a personal injury claim against the at-fault car driver to cover treatment‚ medical and hospital costs‚ and other accident-related damages. Therefore‚ the young girl’s parents should seek counsel from an experienced Riverside County car accident lawyer who would educate them about their legal rights and assure that the motorist is apprehended and brought to justice.
Our personal injury law office sincerely hopes that the injuries suffered by the young girl do not prove life-threatening.
