Single-vehicle overturned on east lanes of I-8
EL CAJON, CA – A grey sedan overturned on Interstate 8 around 4:17 Monday, reports California Highway Patrol.
A woman driving a grey sedan overcorrected while driving on I-8 and slammed into the center divider. The force of the crash caused the vehicle to roll over into the dirt on the opposite side of the road.
Numerous callers reported the collision. A good Samaritan helped the driver out of the car and waited with her until officials arrived. An ambulance was dispatched to the area to transport the driver to the hospital.
A tow truck was able to roll the vehicle back onto the tires and remove it from the roadway. Officers are investigating the cause of the accident and the sequence of events leading up to it.
