Single-vehicle collision reported on I-5 on-ramp
SAN DIEGO, CA – Troopers with the California Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision along a busy I-5 on-ramp early Friday morning.
According to the CHP, the incident was reported at about 4:15 a.m. along the I-5 on-ramp from State Route 15.
Upon arrival, troopers discovered what looked to be a Ford had collided with a fixed object along the ramp and was stalled on the ramp with another vehicle behind it with their hazard lights on.
The individuals remained in the Ford until help arrived. It remains unclear whether any injuries were sustained as a result of the crash.
Motorists faced delays along the ramp for about an hour while the collision was investigated and cleared from the roadway.
