San Diego Police pursue wrong-way driver on I-5
SAN DIEGO, CA – The California Highway Patrol reported a wrong-way driver this morning on Interstate 5. According to the traffic report, police were alerted to the incident on I-5 at around 9:47 a.m. An elderly man was driving his vehicle northbound in the southbound lanes of I-5. According to witnesses, the man was driving at high speed.
Police were able to catch up to the man at around E Street when he lost a tire. At this time, it’s unclear why the motorist was traveling the wrong-way. No injuries have been reported from the incident.
