A 33-year old man was injured in a San Diego hit and run auto accident while helping motorists on Interstate 805 (I-805) in the Webster area of San Diego. The car crash occurred shortly before 2 p.m.
Sean Franklin‚ a Ramona resident‚ was placing flares in the right-hand lane of the southbound side of the freeway near State Route 94 (SR-94) to help several motorists who just been involved in a traffic collision there‚ when he was hit by a light colored vehicle‚ possibly a white‚ four-door 2001 BMW 325 or 330i. Franklin was taken to a hospital where he was admitted for treatment of his serious injuries.
Our office wishes a speedy recovery for Franklin. He has to be commended for stopping for and helping someone else in their need. It is just sad that he had to be injured while performing such a good deed.
