San Diego – Fatal Pedestrian Crash
A pedestrian was killed in an intersection crash in San Diego Thursday morning.
The intersection of Otay Mesa and Cactus Roads were blocked off a few minutes past 9:00 a.m. following a crash in the area. According to officials, a 21-year-old female pedestrian was struck and killed by a passing vehicle whose driver then fled the site. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are currently looking for the hit-and-run suspect and have identified the striking vehicle as a silver or light-colored Nissan Altima that should have front-end damage incurred in the crash. Witnesses are encouraged to come forward and assist with the investigation.
