A 31-year old Fallbrook woman lost her life when water on a San Diego County freeway caused her to lose control of her vehicle. Sarah Rachelle Phillips was on her way to work in San Diego‚ driving her Nissan Xterra‚ when she traveled through a puddle of water which‚ caused her to lose control of the vehicle. Her SUV left the roadway and rolled several times. Phillips was ejected from the Xterra. Responding emergency medical providers attempted to resuscitate her‚ but she was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:09 a.m.
