San Diego- 61-Year Old Man Paralyzed From Chest Down After He Was Hit By A Suspected DUI Driver
A 61-year old man was paralyzed from chest down after he was hit by a suspected DUI driver in a hit-and-run crash in San Diego, in the Clairemont Mesa East neighborhood, on Saturday, September 28, 2019. The suspected drunk female driver was reportedly driving her vehicle northbound on the 7400 block of Blix Street when she hit a parked vehicle at approximately 9 am. The 61-year old man owner of the vehicle that was hit by the female driver was standing next to the vehicle when the said vehicle was struck, and pushed sideways, knocking the man to the ground, and paralyzing him from the chest down. The man also reportedly sustained a forehead abrasion. It was not yet known if the man would recover from his paralysis.
