Escondido- Man Shot Following Fireworks Show For Fourth Of July Celebrations

A man was shot following the Fourth Of July fireworks show in Escondido, CA, Thursday night, July 4, 2019. The 30-year old man was reportedly watching the Escondido’s fireworks show with his girlfriend at Grape Day Park from a distance when he was shot at around 9:30 pm. The girlfriend began driving the man to a hospital but their car got stuck in the post-show traffic. So, the girlfriend flagged down officers who were conducting traffic control nearby. Medics were called so that they could take the man to a hospital. The man sustained a life threatening gunshot wound to the stomach. No description of the suspect was available. No suspect in connection with the shooting was made, either. The couple was walking near 3rd Avenue and Hickory Street when the man was shot.

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake rattled southern California on July 4, 2019, Thursday. The earthquake caused minor injuries within the area. 1 man was killed and 2 other men were wounded after they were shot in a triple shooting incident in Oakland late Tuesday night, July 2, 2019. Police officers received a report of a gunfire being shot on 87th Avenue, just southeast of Ring Central Coliseum at 11:45 pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. The man shot and killed was pronounced dead at the scene. The other 2 men wounded after being shot were taken to the hospital. The shooter (s) have not yet been arrested so far. The motive of the shooting was not known.

Port Hueneme, CA- Child In A Coma And Pregnant Mother Wounded In A Home Shooting

A 7-year old girl and her pregnant mother were wounded after they were shot inside their home in Port Hueneme, CA late Tuesday night, July 2, 2019. The shooting occurred around 10:13 pm in the 100 block of East Pearl Street. The police believed that the shooting was a targeted attack. The girl’s father reportedly took action to get the pregnant mother and 7-year old girl treated in a hospital after the shooting. This was because there was no one who the father could turn to for help after the incident. After a while, police responded to the incident. Officers took the 7-year old girl to Ventura County Medical Center in a police unit. She was then transferred to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where she remained in a coma and in critical condition. The pregnant mother was shot twice. She remained in stable condition at the Ventura County Medical Center. 3 children and 2 adults were inside a home where the shooting took place when the 2 victims were shot. The 2 adults were the parents of the 3 children. Somebody within the home at the time of the shooting was believed to be the target victim of the shooter (s). The 7-year old girl and the pregnant mother shot were in the living room at the time of the shooting. Authorities believed that there may had been more than one shooter that fired gunshots in the home. It was not clear if the shooter or shooters escaped the scene on foot or fled in a car. The motive of the shooting was not clear. However, a dispute may reportedly have initiated the shooting.

A gunman shot a teenager on Friday night, June 28, 2019, outside a movie theater in Escondido, CA. The teenager was shot around 8:50 pm. outside the Regal Cinema on West Valley Parkway. According to police, the teenagers was shot in the calf. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital after the shooting. It was believed that the teenager was shot due to a fight among a group of teenagers in the strip mall. The shooting incident is being investigated.

La Mesa, CA- Woman Injured After Being Shot On Harris Street
