Pedestrian struck by vehicle and killed while running on Highway 5
SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian was killed this morning after being struck by an unknown vehicle on Highway 5. According to Patch, the pedestrian was running in the southbound lanes of the San Diego Freeway near the Alicia Parkway exit when they were hit by a car. Officers on the scene were spotted talked to both the driver of a a Toyota Camry and the driver of a big rig, but it’s unclear at this time if either vehicle hit the victim.
Lanes 3 and 4 of the freeway were closed for investigation and cleanup. The investigation is currently ongoing, and our team will post an update as new information becomes available.
