Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident in Jamacha
SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Jamacha late Thursday night, according to a report by NBC San Diego.
The accident was reported to authorities around 11 p.m. Thursday.
The victim, an unidentified 28-year-old man, was walking near the 8100 block of Jamacha Road when he was struck by the 21-year-old male suspect, according to police.
Police say that the suspect drove away after the crash. He then allegedly parked his car near the accident and then tried to flee the scene on foot before being stopped by police.
Authorities state that the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
