Pedestrian killed after being hit by OC Line train near Oceanside
OCEANSIDE, CA – A pedestrian was killed early yesterday morning after being hit by a Metrolink train near the San Clemente Pier and Oceanside stations, according to MyNewsLA.
OC Line train 603, headed for Los Angeles, struck the unidentified pedestrian at about 5:35 a.m. The victim died of injuries sustained during the collision.
The circumstances surrounding the accident were not made immediately available.
Metrolink authorities stopped the train and were attempting to find alternative routes for the affected passengers.
No other injuries were reported in the accident.
