Pedestrian injured in motorcycle hit-and-run
SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcyclist seriously injured a pedestrian in the Ocean Beach area Sunday evening, reports Times of San Diego.
Police say the pedestrian was struck on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard near Voltaire Street around 8:40 p.m. Traffic stopped for a red light when the 51-year-old Harley Davidson driver decided to pass the stopped cars. A 26-year-old was crossing the street when the motorcyclist struck him.
The motorcyclist did not stop to help the pedestrian and instead drove off, leaving his passenger behind. An ambulance transported the pedestrian to the hospital with a dislocated hip.
Officers are searching for the driver of the motorcycle.
