Pedestrian in critical condition after being hit by hit-and-run driver on 54th St
SAN DIEGO, CA – A woman crossing the street in the Ridgeview/Webster area suffered serious wounds, including a traumatic brain injury, in a hit-and-run accident last night.
According to ABC 10 San Diego, the collision occurred in the 2000 block of 54th Street at 11:07 p.m., as a 60-year-old pedestrian crossed the street outside of a crosswalk.
She was struck by a driver who then fled the scene.
The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified, was brought to the hospital with critical injuries.
No witnesses have yet come forward to offer information about the suspect.
