Palo Alto- 3 Vehicle Crash Injured 3 Passengers Near The Embarcadero Road Exit
A person driving a BMW near the Embarcadero exit in the southbound lanes slowed to rubberneck at the crash site on Highway 101 in Palo Alto 20 minutes after the said crash occurred early Sunday, June 16, 2019. While the driver was rubbernecking, his BMW was rear ended by a Honda Civic. The impact of the crash caused the Honda to spin out. It stopped, facing northbound in the southbound lanes. As the driver and 3 passengers tried to get out of the Honda, a third car collided with the Honda, seriously injuring the 3 passengers. The male driver of the third vehicle was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The driver of the BMW and the 3 passengers of the Honda vehicle were taken to the hospital so that they could be treated after sustaining injuries.
