Motorcyclist suffers broken ankle in Clairemont hit-and-run
SAN DIEGO, CA – A driver collided with a motorcyclist, causing him serious injuries, then left the scene of the accident in the Clairemont area on Thanksgiving night.
According to The Times of San Diego, the accident occurred in the 4400 block of Clairemont Drive at about 7:50 p.m. when a dark-colored Ford vehicle, described as possibly an SUV or a pickup truck, made a left turn onto Clairemont Dr.
The truck then collided with a motorcyclist, who had attempted to avoid the collision by swerving into the middle of the roadway.
The motorcycle then crashed into two other vehicles that had been parked on the side of Clairemont.
The driver of the Ford then fled the scene and was last seen on Clairemont.
The motorcyclist suffered multiple non-critical injuries, including a broken ankle, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the accident at this time.
