Motorcyclist left sprawling by hit-and-run driver on I-15
SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcycle rider was injured when a vehicle struck the bike then fled the scene on Interstate 15 in Temecula on Tuesday, according to CHP.
A good Samaritan called 911 to report the crash that had ejected the rider from his bike on northbound lanes near Railroad Canyon Road at about 5:15 a.m. A black four-door sedan, possibly Nissan or a Subaru, had struck the motorcycle. The impact threw the rider into the center divide, where he was lying when witnesses began to pull over and offer help.
One witness said that a similar vehicle was seen exiting at Central Avenue and investigators were checking the area in an effort to apprehend the hit-and-run driver.
An ambulance responded to the scene to offer treatment to the injured motorcyclist. Their condition is unknown.
