Motorcyclist dies when high-speed pursuit ends in crash
SAN DIEGO, CA – A motorcycle rider lost his life when a police pursuit ended in a high-speed crash on Interstate 15 in the Hidden Meadows area on Monday.
According to Fox News San Diego, police tried to stop the rider on I-15 north near Deer Springs Road at about 1 p.m. for racing with a car. The motorcyclist sped up instead of stopping but quickly crashed his 2008 Kawasaki bike with a Toyota Camry and then struck the guardrail.
He was transported to Palomar Medical Center but his injuries proved fatal.
His identity is expected to be released after his family has been notified.
