Mother and Son Hurt in Santa Ana DUI Car Crash

By Ross Jurewitz on June 13, 2011

Toyota FlipA mother and her son suffered serious injuries after their Toyota Camry was struck in a suspected DUI car collision that occurred on June 6‚ 2011‚ around 7:50 a.m. in Santa Ana. According to the Santa Ana Police Department‚ the driver of a gold Toyota truck struck the other car and flipped while traveling west on MacArthur Boulevard.

The female driver and her son were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the pickup was arrested under the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and running a red light on Greenville Street.

The truck driver will most likely be found to have violated California Vehicle Code Section 23152(a) which states that “It is unlawful for any person who is under the influence of any alcoholic beverage or drug‚ or under the combined influence of any alcoholic beverage and drug‚ to drive a vehicle.”

From the information available‚ it is evident that violation of traffic rules led to this accident. The injured victims should immediately seek counsel from a car accident lawyer in Orange County to obtain compensation to cover medical‚ hospital and treatment expenses‚ loss of wages‚ loss of earning capacity‚ and other accident-related expenses.

Our law office sincerely hopes that both mother and son recover from their injuries soon.
