Nicholas Angell was seriously injured when a rock broke through his windshield and hit him in the face as he was driving along State Route 118 in Moorpark‚ California. Based upon the investigation‚ it appears that the rock‚ which was softball sized‚ was thrown from the right shoulder of the highway. Angell suffered multiple facial fractures and several broken teeth. The police also found that two other rocks were thrown onto the highway. One of the rocks bounced off another woman’s windshield and another crashed through another vehicle’s sunroof. Police are looking into the facts and may charge the assailant with assault with a deadly weapon.
