Man crossing street suffers severe injuries from hit-and-run driver in Bay Park
SAN DIEGO, CA – A man crossing the street in Bay Park was severely injured after being struck by a driver who then fled the scene yesterday morning, according to FOX 5 San Diego.
The accident happened in the 3000 block of Clairemont Drive at about 9:15 a.m., when a 59-year-old man reportedly crossed the street mid-block.
He was struck by a woman operating a white vehicle headed southbound. The driver then fled the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital for the treatment of severe, life-threatening injuries, including head trauma. His identity was not immediately released.
The accident remains under investigation.
