Lanes blocked by burning car on I-15 in Escondido
SAN DIEGO, CA – Two lanes were blocked on Interstate 15 in Escondido while firefighters knocked back a car fire on Tuesday morning.
According to Caltrans San Diego, the car was headed north when it began to catch fire near West Citricado Parkway shortly before noon. The driver pulled the vehicle to the righthand side of the freeway, where firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.
The two right lanes were closed for about half an hour. There is no word on whether anyone was injured.
