Lane closed to fight car fire on Imperial Valley highway
SAN DIEGO, CA – One lane was closed on State Route 86 in the Imperial Valley area while firefighters fought a vehicle fire on Tuesday evening.
According to Caltrans San Diego, the right lane was blocked while firefighters worked to quench the flames of a burning car on SR-86 north near the California Highway Patrol checkpoint at about 5:45 p.m.
The lane was not reopened to traffic until almost 11 p.m.
