Jacumba rollover crash kills two and injures one
SAN DIEGO, CA – A car rolled over on Interstate 8, killing two people and sending another to the hospital, reports Fox 5 San Diego.
A car was driving on I-8 near the In-Ko-Pah Brake Check around 2:30 p.m., when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled over. The crash sparked a fire.
The fire department and police were dispatched to the area. Officers found that two people had died during the collision and a third had suffered severe injuries.
A life-flight helicopter was dispatched to the scene. Officers had to close the east and west lanes for the helicopter to land.
Offers are investigating what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and the sequence of events leading up to it. The victims’ names have not been identified.
All lanes were reopened around 6:00 p.m.
