Hot tar spilled when trailer overturned in Elsinore
SAN DIEGO, CA – Hot tar was spilled on State Route 74 after a tar pot trailer overturned in a crash in Elsinore on Thursday afternoon.
According to CHP, the tar pot trailer was being towed eastbound on SR-74 when it overturned and hit a black Cadillac truck near Rocky Road at about 12:08 p.m.
A Caltrans crew was called to the scene to address the significant amount of hot tar on the roadway in the westbound lanes.
An ambulance was also called to the scene but injuries have not been confirmed.
