Hit-and-run fatality in Mountain View
SAN DIEGO, CA – An 81-year-old man was killed when a car struck him Tuesday evening, reports NBC 7 San Diego.
The man was crossing Logan Avenue in the crosswalk and was struck by the suspect, who had turned onto Logan from 45th Street. An ambulance was called to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital. The victim was treated for a skull fracture but later died from his injuries. His family was notified but his name has not been released to the public.
The suspected driver fled the scene and a detailed description was not available. Officers are gathering information from the scene and investigating whether there are corroborating descriptions of the driver will lead them to the suspect.
