Hit-and-run crash reported on I-805 SB near Altadena

SAN DIEGO, CA — A hit-and-run collision involving a truck-trailer was reported Wednesday night on Interstate 805 near San Diego’s Altadena area, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred on the ramp connecting I-805 southbound to the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 (California Highway 15). It was first reported shortly before 8:46 p.m.

Officials said a driver was heading southbound in a truck hauling a trailer, which hit part of the reporting party’s vehicle and fled the scene.

The suspect vehicle is described as possibly green. Its trailer was seen transporting a green Nissan 240SX convertible with a roll cage.

Even as the driver of the victim vehicle was able to pull over to the right shoulder, part of the vehicle’s bumper was torn off in the crash, possibly blocking a lane.

No injuries have been reported.
