Fatal Old Town pedestrian accident possibly homicide
SAN DIEGO, CA – Local police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in Old Town on Sunday that was potentially an intentional homicide.
According to NBC San Diego, a man was struck and killed by a van in the 4100 block of Wallace Street at about 3:30 a.m. The 48-year-old male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van, a 47-year-old woman, remained at the crash scene. Investigators taking her statement were unsure that the incident was a traffic accident and called homicide detectives to the scene.
