SAN DIEGO, CA – Authorities rescued an intoxicated man from the travel lanes on State Route 74 after the man crashed his car on Thursday afternoon.
According to CHP, the 911 caller reported that they had witnessed the man drinking before he crashed his white Nissan SUV with a white Toyota Tundra near Melba Avenue at about 1:30 p.m.
After the accident, the drunk man got out of his car and began walking out into traffic, clearly very intoxicated. When authorities arrived on the scene, they were able to get him out of the roadway before he was injured by a passing car.
