Driver extricated after crashing into ditch off SR 94
SAN DIEGO, CA – A person was extricated from their vehicle after hitting a utility pole on State Route 94 on Tuesday morning, according to CHP.
A beige Honda was driving west on State Route 94 when it collided with another vehicle near the offramp to 30th Street. The impact sent the Honda into a utility pole off the roadway, which toppled, and left the second vehicle in the westbound lanes.
The Honda was stuck in the ditch off the side of the road and the driver was trapped. The party was extricated but their injuries are unknown.
The utility pole was down across the offramp. The offramp was closed while emergency crews worked at the scene.
